Faisalabad Waste Management Company [FWMC] was established on 13th July, 2013 under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984; it started its working under an Agreement named as SAAMA (Services And Asset Management Agreement) which was executed on 11th December, 2013 between different stake-holders including CDGF, TMOs and FWMC.
Before the establishment of the FWMC, the responsibility pertaining to solid waste management was lying with SWM, a Department working under CDGF. There are four town falls under CDGF i.e. Lyallpur Town, Madina Town, Jinnah Town & Iqbal Town which are transferred to FWMC for all type of sanitations and waste management services.

Establishment of Control Room
FWMC has established a Control Room with having staff working in different shifts enabling it to tackle all type of situation especially regarding monsoon.Additionally, FWMC has deployed its two officials at the Complaint Cell / Control Room established by the City District Government Faisalabad at DCO Office as liaison officers.
Emergency / Disaster Response Team
In case of any un-usual situation, team of 100 waste workers along with dedicated machinery in the supervision of Asst. Manager Operations remained alert and ready to cope with the emergent situation.
All small drains in UCs have de-silted by deploying special team for the same.
To avoid any unhygienic situation and blockage of drains, all de-silted material was removed with special purpose vehicles
