The Anti-Dengue activities conducted to create awareness and stop larva production are as follows:
- Enforcement of tyre markets and junkyards regulations to control the dengue spread
- Organization of Anti-Dengue Day for awareness of general public
- Establishment of Special Dengue Cell in each TMA and provincial level
- Confiscation/removal of unusable tyres at petrol pumps, CNG Stations, puncture shops, roof tops, etc
- Construction of warehouses for proper storage of dengue related machinery and equipment at tehsil level
- Field visits of the officers of LG&CD Department across the province to create anti-dengue awareness and check the level of preparedness
- Town Emergency Response Committee (TERC) meetings in all towns of CDG, Lahore by the head of the administrative departments to review progress of concerned field formations regarding dengue campaign
- Larviciding campaign in city district Lahore to ensure 100% surveillance and larvae elimination by focusing on following areas:
- Junkyards
- Basements
- Under construction sites
- Abandoned sites
- Petrol pumps and CNG Stations
