A delegation from the Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited the Local Government Department Punjab, Civil Secretariat today. The delegation was warmly received and briefed by Ms. Asia Gul, Special Secretary (Development), and Mr. Arshad Baig, Special Secretary (Admin) LG&CDD. The visiting delegation comprised Mr. Abdul Hadi, Additional Secretary, Mr. Waheed Ul Rehman, Secretary Local Council Board, Mr. Aurangzeb, TMO Dargai, Mr. Haji Naseer, Local Council Board, Mr. Sardar Muhammad, Director IT, and Mr. Irfan Ullah, Accounts Officer. The delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on the digitization initiatives within the Local Government Department of Punjab, including upcoming development projects aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery. A special presentation was given on the achievements under the “Suthra Punjab” program in the solid waste management sector, highlighting the performance monitoring, notification, and accountability mechanisms that have been successfully implemented.
