Suthra Punjab organized a grand ceremony at The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Workshop, Outfall North Saggian, to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. Secretary Local Government and Community Development Zaid Bin Maqsood attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He hoisted the national flag alongside Director General Suthra Punjab Authority Umer Javed and LWMC Chief Executive Officer Sheryar Arif Khan. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark Independence Day. The ceremony echoed with enthusiastic slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” as officers and workers expressed their patriotic spirit. A special prayer was offered for the security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. A large number of officers and workers of the Suthra Punjab Authority and Suthra Punjab Agency Lahore also attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, DG Suthra Punjab Authority Umer Javed said that on Independence Day, the organization reaffirmed its resolve to make the provision of the best sanitation facilities across Punjab its top priority. He also paid tribute to the sanitation workers of Suthra Punjab, describing them as the “real heroes” of cleanliness, and acknowledged their services and efforts for maintaining cleanliness across the province.
